Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known as Kid Cudi, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and actor from Cleveland, Ohio. He has been widely recognized as an influencer of certain hip hop and alternative arts. Cudi's first long-term project, a mixtape called A Kid Named Cudi caught the attention of American rapper and producer Kanye West, who signed Cudi to his GOOD Music label. Cudi's debut single "Day" n 'Nite "was released in late 2008. His debut studio album Man on the Moon: The End of Day was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, released in 2008. In 2010, he released his second album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, and founded rock band WZRD with longtime collaborator Dot da Genius. Their debut album of the same name topped the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.
