Little Big Town is an American country music group. Formed in 1998, the group is made up of four identical members since its inception: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. Their style of music is mainly based on a four-part harmony, with the four members alternating as the lead singers. After a recording contract with Mercury Nashville Records, which did not produce singles or albums, Little Big Town released their first single on Monument Records in 2002. He produced two national singles in the family before the group left the company. In 2005, the group joined Equity Music Group, an independent label owned by Clint Black. Their second album, The Road to Here, was released that year and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. A Place to Land, their third album, was released via Equity, then re-released via Capitol Nashville after Equity closed in 2008 .
