Monika Olejnik, official name Monika Ewa Wasowska is a Polish radio, press and television journalist. Olejnik studies zoology at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. She first worked at Radio I of Poland on a farmer program. In 1982, she moved to Poland Radio III and stayed there until 2000. She was well known for her interviews with politicians and other public figures in the program "Salon Polityczny Trójki". At TVN Television, she worked on the program "Kropka nad i". Since September 2004, she is an interviewer for "Prosto w oczy", a program on Polish TV channel I. One of the most influential Polish journalists of the 1990s and 2000s. her father, Tadeusz, was an expert at the Communist Ministry of Public Security that made her the target of fierce criticism from right-wing Polish journalists and politicians.
