Ron Lancaster
Ronald "Ron" Lancaster is a Canadian-American professional soccer player and coach of the Canadian Football Federation. As a starting midfielder for the Saskatchewan Roughriders for 16 seasons, he led the team to their first Gray Cup title in 1966 and is the franchise's all-time leader in passing, attempting, finishing, touching the ball and interception. At the time of his retirement, he was the leader of the CFL's volleyball career and remains sixth overall in 2016. After retiring as a player, he was head coach and general manager of the CFL; he has led his teams to two Gray Cups and is currently fourth all-time with 142 regular season wins. He was also a CFL black commentator with CBC from 1981 to 1990. At the time of his death, he was the senior director of football operations for Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and the Wittenberg College of Sports Honors.
