William March is an American psychological fantasy writer and a highly decorated American sailor. Author of six novels and four short stories, March has received critical acclaim but never gained great popularity. March grew up in rural Alabama in an extremely poor family, he couldn't finish high school and he didn't get a high school diploma until he was 20 years old. He then studied law but still did not have the conditions to complete his studies. In 1917, while working at a law firm in Manhattan, he volunteered to join the United States Marine Corps and took action during World War I, where he was honored with a number of top honors. - Croix de Guerre of France, Excellent Service of the United States. Cross, and United States Naval Cross. After the war, he went back to work in a law firm before embarking on a financially successful business career.
