Dennis Kucinich
Dennis John Kucinich is an American politician. As the United States' representative in Ohio from 1997 to 2013, he was also the Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 2004 and 2008. He ran for governor of Ohio in the 2018 election, lost to Richard Cordray in the primary. From 1977 to 1979, Kucinich was the 53rd mayor of Cleveland, a tumultuous term in which he survived a recalled election and was successful in his fight against the sale of electric utility companies before being defeated by George Voinovich. Due to redistribution after the 2010 state election, Ohio's 10th electoral district was redesigned in southern Ohio. Kucinich faced Rep. Marcy Kaptur in the 2012 US race, Ohio's ninth electoral district that occupied part of Cuyahoga County. Kaptur defeated Kucinich. In January 2013, he became a contributor to Fox News while appearing on shows such as The O'Reilly Factor.
