Dmitri Anatolevich Fomin, known by his stage name Mitya Fomin, is a Russian solo singer, dancer and producer. From 1998 to 2009, he was a member of the Hi-Fi dance group, born with Anatol Danilov, associate professor at the Media Institute and Tamara Pavlov, engineer. His sister Svetlana was also an early singer in a band. Dmitry Fomin studied at the Novosibirsk Medical Institute and graduated from a pediatrician. He briefly traveled to the United States and England to pursue a career in musical theater and began writing music. He also enrolled in the Gerasimov Film Academy. As of January 2018, Fomin was banned from entering Ukraine for 3 years due to his claim that since Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014, Crimea is "the territory of Russia".
