Marike Jager is a Dutch singer, songwriter, guitarist and television presenter. She grew up in Leusden and learned to play the guitar while traveling through Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa. There, she wrote her first song "Lizzy". Back in the Netherlands, she took to the stage, quickly winning "Studenten Songfestival in Maastricht". Shortly thereafter, she also won the Sky Radio Talentenjacht, Brussels Studio demopoll award and the prestigious 2003 "Grote Prijs van Nederland" award in the singer-songwriter category. After defeating the Grote Prijs, she met Henk Jan Heuvelink. He plays the wurlitzer, the harmonium and the piano. Together they perform regularly at festivals, in theaters and on the radio. In 2008, drummer Nicky Hustinx joined the group.
