Born and raised in Haugesund, Sundfør started his music career two years before releasing his debut album of the same name, reaching number three on the Norwegian Album Chart. This is followed by Take One, a live album of songs from his early days. His second studio album, The Brothel, released in 2010 with commercial success in Norway, peaked at number 1 and became the best-selling album of that year. The album saw a shift from the piano-oriented pop music of the previous releases towards a more electronic and ambitious direction. In 2011, she released an album of live musical instruments featuring only synthesizers, A Night at Salle Pleyel, which acted like a work of rose. His third studio album, The Silicone Veil, tops the Norwegian album charts and is critically acclaimed.
