Jim Plunkett
James William Plunkett is a former American football midfielder who played in the National Football League for sixteen seasons. He has achieved his greatest professional success in his last eight seasons with the Raiders series, with which he helped win two Super Bowl titles. As the Heisman Trophy winner of his undergraduate career at Stanford, Plunkett was first selected by the New England Patriots to the NFL Draft Master in 1971. His tenure with the Patriots has been largely unsuccessful and he was signed to the San Francisco 49ers, where he performed in 1976 and 1977. Released from the 49ers after continuing to fight, Plunkett signed with Oakland Raiders in 1978 .
