He served as President of Public Administration Reform in Kerala from 2016 to 2021 AchuthanIand is a member of PCC. Politburo from 1985 to July 2009, when he returned to the Central Committee of the Party due to conflicting ideas. He is a public leader respected for his integrity. Achuthanandan initiated various actions as minister, including: demolition in Munnar, site of illegally occupied land, demolition of Kochi MG Road to recover the long-missing ramp, his fight against film piracy, his fight against the Mafia of the state lottery. He has been credited with convicting former Minister R. Balakrishna Pillai for corruption.
