Amrullah Saleh
Amrullah Saleh is an Afghan politician who holds the post of First Vice President of Afghanistan. He was Afghan Minister of the Interior until January 19, 2019 and was head of the National Security Administration from 2004 until his resignation in 2010. Before heading the Afghan intelligence services, he was a member of the Union from the North of Ahmad Shah Massoud. In 1997, Saleh was appointed by Massoud as the Northern Coalition liaison office within the Afghan embassy in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in charge of liaison with NGOs and international intelligence. After resigning from the NDS in 2010, Saleh formed a pro-democracy and anti-Taliban movement called Basej-e Milli and Green Trend. In March 2017, he was appointed by President Ashraf Ghani as Secretary of State for Security Reform. In December 2018, he was appointed by Ghani to the post of Minister of the Interior. He resigned from his post as Minister of the Interior on January 19, 2019 to join Ashraf Ghani's electoral group.
