Bryant Gumbel
Bryant Charles Gumbel is the best known American sports journalist and journalist for 15 years as a co-host of NBC's Today program. He is the brother of sports journalist Greg Gumbel. Since 1995, he has hosted HBO's popular investigative series Real Sports alongside Bryant Gumbel, which was voted "Best Sports Show on TV" by the Los Angeles Times. He won the Peabody Award in 2012. Gumbel was hired by NBC Sports in the fall of 1975 as a co-host of their National Football Federation's pre-GrandStand game show alongside Jack Buck. From 1975 to January 1982, it hosted many sporting events for NBC, including the Major League Baseball Tournament, College Basketball and the National Football Federation. He returned to NBC's sports broadcast when he hosted golden hour news coverage of the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics and the 1990 PGA Tournament.
